In the world of commercial towing, more is expected. A job cannot be completed if the equipment cannot handle the workload. That is why CURT developed the Commercial Duty class 5 trailer hitch. Constructed from steel and engineered for power, these class 5 hitches are designed to complement the towing power of full-size, commercial pickup trucks, including diesels and chassis cabs. They can easily handle a variety of oversize trailers, including toy and car haulers, livestock trailers, dumper trailers, large flatbed trailers, large boat trailers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component). This particular class 5 hitch features a gross trailer weight capacity of 20,000 lbs. and a tongue weight capacity of 2,700 lbs. It is designed to be a custom trailer hitch for certain years of the Chevy Silverado 2500 HD or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500 HD or 3500 HD (to verify your vehicle compatibility, see application info). All CURT Commercial Duty class 5 hitches feature a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" receiver tube opening to accept the strongest of ball mounts and towing accessories. They are perfect for mounting standard ball mounts, pintle mounts, tow hooks and weight distribution hitches as well as winch mounts and cargo carriers. CURT class 5 tow hitches are protected by a co-curing of liquid A-coat and carbide black powder coat finish. They also mount with grade-8 hardware, included with each hitch.

Free Shipping
Free shipping may be offered on qualifying products or orders. Free shipping applies only to eligible locations within the contiguous United States and excludes oversized freight shipments unless otherwise noted.
Freight Shipments
Large items such as bumpers, some lift kits, and other oversized products may require freight delivery.
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing an accessible delivery location.
- Inspecting the shipment before signing for delivery.
- Noting any visible damage on the carrier's delivery receipt.
- Reporting concealed damage within 48 hours of delivery.
Failure to note shipping damage at delivery may affect the ability to file a freight claim.
Delivery Delays
While we make every effort to ensure timely delivery, shipping dates are estimates and may be affected by weather, carrier delays, manufacturer availability, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Return Policy
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase.
Standard Returns
Most new, unused products may be returned within 30 days of delivery.
Returned merchandise must:
- Be unused and uninstalled.
- Be in its original packaging.
- Include all hardware, instructions, and accessories.
- Be in resalable condition.
Return Authorization
A return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) is required before returning any item.
Returns sent without prior authorization may be refused.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are generally non-returnable unless defective or shipped in error:
- Custom or made-to-order products
- Painted or color-matched items
- Special-order products
- Electronics that have been installed or activated
- Spray-in bedliners or installed services
- Clearance, closeout, or final sale items
- Gift cards
Return Shipping
Unless the return is due to our error or a manufacturer's defect, customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Restocking Fees
Certain manufacturers may charge a restocking fee, typically between 10% and 25%, depending on the product and supplier. Any applicable restocking fee will be deducted from your refund.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item:
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
- Save all packaging materials.
- Provide photos of the product, packaging, and shipping label.
We will work quickly to replace the item or resolve the issue.
Defective Products
Products covered by a manufacturer's warranty may be repaired or replaced according to the manufacturer's warranty policy.
Our team will gladly assist you with the warranty process whenever possible.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your account, depending on your financial institution.
Order Cancellations
Orders may be canceled prior to shipment.
Once an order has shipped, it cannot be canceled and must follow the standard return process.
Custom or special-order products may not be canceled once production has begun.
Installation Recommendation
Many truck accessories require professional installation.
We recommend having products installed by a qualified installer. Damage resulting from improper installation is not covered under our return policy. Please contact one of our store locations for professional installation.
